David Batchelor (Director, Field Sales, T-Fal Corporation)
At T-Fal Corporation for the last seven years, David Batchelor is currently responsible for the sales and marketing of cookware and appliances to key U.S. retailers, hardware co-ops, premium and direct mail catalogs, regional mass merchants, and the U.S. military. Batchelor brings extensive experience as a national accounts manager during his tenure at Master Lock and Oster. During his long career, Batchelor also served as an assistant buyer for small appliances at Maas Brothers Department Stores, part of the Federated chain.

Cathy S. Cassell (VP National Sales Manager, Lifetime Hoan Corporation)
Cathy Cassell has a proven track record in managing major customers in highly competitive industries. In her 11 years with Lifetime Hoan Corporation, where she began as a marketing manager, Cassell has held responsibility for sales in every division of the company (cutlery, cutting boards, culinary tools, gadgets, bakeware, roasting pans, and accessories). Prior to joining Lifetime Hoan, Cassell was a sleepwear and girls' casualwear designer. She holds a B.F.A. in product design from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.

Peter Erlichson (Buyer, Famous-Barr)
As a furniture buyer for Famous-Barr for the past three years, Peter Erlichson oversees four departments for the St. Louis-based retailer. (Famous-Barr is a division of the May Department Stores Company.) He was peviously a luggage and candy buyer at Famous. Erlichson also spent time as a housewares buyer for both Gramex (Grandpa's) and Venture Stores. Prior to joining Gramex, he was a group brand manager at Roman Company. He has an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis and a B.Sc. from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Jim Fennema (Senior VP Merchandising, Duckwall-ALCO Stores, Inc.)
For the past 10 years, Jim Fennema has been responsible for all product purchases, pricing, advertising, and initial set up of import purchasing for Duckwall-ALCO Stores,Inc., a regional retailer operating more than 260 stores in 21 states. Fennema was a member of the National Confectionary Association Advisory Panel. Throughout his long career in retailing, Fennema has held various buying and management positions at Sears, Richmond-Gordman Stores, ShopKo Stores, and Caldor.

Trevor Morgan (Senior VP, Kingsbridge International)
Trevor Morgan has more than 25 years' experience in promotions of non-branded consumer packaged goods. He is currently senior VP of sales and marketing at Kingsbridge International. Previously, he was responsible for developing and managing the promotional division at World Bazaars Inc. and was regional sales manager and division VP at Action Industries. Throughout his long career, Morgan has gained in-depth knowledge of the U.S. retail scene and has been instrumental in bringing new products to market.

David Showman (Senior Buyer, ShopKo Stores Incorporated)
David Showman is responsible for $64 million in retail sales at ShopKo Stores, one of the leading U.S. specialty discount stores. In addition to his responsibility for buying seasonal and basic candy and other confections, he has implemented a partnering program with key industry players such as Mars and Hershey. He also introduced bulk candy to the ShopKo chain, a major factor differentiating ShopKo from its competitors. (ShopKo operates 140 stores in the United States and is America's fourth largest mass merchandise chain.) Prior to joining ShopKo, Showman was a buyer at Penn-Daniel's Inc.

Gary Sterling (Senior VP, Merchandising, Planning and Allocation, Dick's Sporting Goods)
Dick's Sporting Goods is one of the leading sports and fitness specialty retailers in the United States. Gary Sterling joined Dick's in 1997 as the senior VP, GMM for hardlines. He was promoted to senior VP for hardlines, and was promoted again in 1999 to his current position, where he is responsible for product development, planning, and allocations and replenishment divisions. Sterling's long career in retailing has taken him from buyer, DMM, GMM, and senior VP across a number of product lines including electronics, luggage, housewares, are hardlines. He began his career at Gimbel's, and also worked at Macy's, Broadway Department Stores, and Venture Stores, a division of May Company. Headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dick's has more than 100 stores throughout the United States.

Robert R. Tooley (Senior Buyer, Pamida, Inc.)
Robert Tooley has spent most of his 30 years in retailing as a buyer for regional and national chains such as U.S. Navy Exchange System, Bradlees, Inc., and Pamida. He has been responsible for a range of categories including hardware, automotive, sporting goods, lawn and garden, gifts, kitchen electrics, personal care, housewares, and storage. His current areas of responsiblity focuses on housewares, storage, and gifts. Pamida, a division of ShopKo Stores Inc., operates nearly 150 discount stores.
