VisageX – R&D mechanical/biomedical engineer

VisageX Medical is developing breakthrough technology facial implants for the aesthetics and reconstructive surgery market.

Location: Misgav Business Park (near Karmiel)

• Provide hands-on, technical execution in the prototyping and development of devices
• Lead projects and tasks end to end
• Execute design verification and validation testing, test method development/validation
• Prepare technical documentation, including manufacturing instructions, test methods, drawings, protocols, and reports to support design control activities
• Complete documentation of data and prepare written reports that contribute to the Design History File while assuring accuracy and completeness
• Provide periodic updates regarding project status and participate in addressing project management requirements in a timely fashion
• Contribute to the intellectual property position of the company via invention, patent applications and brainstorming sessions

• BSc in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering
• 2-3 years in product development in the medical device industry – multidisciplinary aesthetics/orthopedic/cardiovascular implants – an advantage
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
• Highly motivated and results-driven
• A team player with the ability to work on your own
• Self-learning capabilities
• A practical and creative problem solver with hands-on technical abilities
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and in CAD design (SolidWorks)
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Mechanical/heat transfer/electromagnetic simulations – an advantage
• Medical implants design experience – an advantage
• Knowledge in medical materials properties such as metals, polymers, Nitinol, bio-materials – an advantage
