Our highly experienced, professional staff of 40 employees in Israel, Singapore, and China bring wide-ranging skills in business, finance, technology and engineering, sales and marketing, law, communications, and operations. From day one, we are intensely involved in our early-stage medical and agtech companies and the entrepreneurs that lead them, assisting and guiding with business and technology development, finance, marketing communications, and administration.
Facilities: We have two offices in Israel (headquarters in the Misgav area of the Western Galilee and in the Tel Aviv area) and an office in Singapore. Our young companies are located in our facilities for the critical first two to three years, keeping expenses low and the entrepreneurial environment high.
As VP Business Development for Trendlines Agrifood (Israel) since 2012 and VP Deal Flow for the Trendlines Agrifood Fund (Singapore), Sarai Kemp is responsible for sourcing start-ups, evaluating opportunities, negotiating, and closing investments and working with portfolio companies post-investment. Sarai is a board member on Hargol FoodTech, AgroScout, FruitSpec and AlgaHealth.
Sarai brings more than 20 years’ experience in agricultural, consumer goods, and high-tech industries, including in sales, marketing, and business development for international companies such as Afimilk and Keter Plastic. She has worked intensively with companies in East Asia.
Sarai received an MBA from Haifa University and a B.A. from Tel Aviv University.

Ofir Hazut has over 12 years of experience and knowledge in life science start-ups and companies. He served as Director of Business Development and CEO in medical devices and agrotech companies. Prior to joining Trendlines, Ofir held the position of Director of Business Development at Evogene and CEO of MEway Pharma, a medical device company funded by Sanara Ventures (a medical incubator backed by Phillips and TEVA). Ofir Hazut advised VCs in investment strategy, deal flow and due diligence processes.
Ofir received his B.Sc in Neuroscience and MBA from Bar-Ilan University and M.Sc in Bio-Psychology from Tel-Aviv University.

Tamar has over seven years’ experience in scouting and deal flow in the life sciences tech industry at ICL Group, as well as application specialist at GE Healthcare and Bio-Rad Laboratories.
Tamar holds a PhD in Chemistry and Philosophy from Tel Aviv University and an MBA from the Imperial College London.

Andi Chai has more than 20 years’ experience formulating business development strategies for start-ups, young companies, and established companies operating in sectors ranging from health care to security.
At Trendlines, Andi is responsible for assisting our medical device companies with their strategic business development and marketing efforts. Working closely with the entrepreneurs, she builds business models and develops marketing strategies, identifies key players, and develops market surveys. Andi prepares the entrepreneurs for raising capital and meeting with investors by writing company fact sheets and business plans, preparing financial sales forecasts and P&Ls, developing investor presentations, and honing the company and product story.
Andi has significant experience organizing international road shows for medical companies and supporting Trendlines’ marketing efforts at conferences such as Biomed.
She received an MBA from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a BBA in International Business from George Washington University.

Daniel brings vast management experience and a successful track record in leading medical device ventures. He has 12 years’ experience in the medical technology field spanning investments, R&D, business development, preclinical and clinical development, strategic planning, and execution. Prior to joining Trendlines, Daniel led the medical deal flow at Incentive Incubator, and managed TA Medical, a medical device company in the colonoscopy sector.
Daniel holds a B. Sc in biomedical engineering and an MBA from Tel Aviv University.

Anton Wibowo has over nine years’ of diverse business, management, and investment experience in the Singaporean biotechnology and agribusiness communities.
Prior to joining Trendlines, Anton was operations director and former business development director at Biomax.
Anton holds a Masters of International Business from Central Queensland University and a Bachelor of Engineering (first-class honours) from Nanyang Technological University.

Eli brings nearly three decades of experience across multiple industries. He was Operations Manager at Max Brenner, in the traditional industry. He led sales in the telecom industry (including Comverse), and managed Silora R&D, a company in the professional audio-video industry.
Eli is a mechanical engineer (Technion, Israel) and holds an MBA from Haifa University.

Lauren Gilligan has over 13 years’ experience in business and product development, marketing, sales, and strategic planning.
Prior to joining Trendlines, Lauren was VP Marketing and Sales for a leading cannabis brand in Colorado, and represented a variety of luxury brands working in experiential events and marketing campaigns.
At Trendines, Lauren is responsible for assisting our agtech companies with their business development efforts, and is the project manager for the AgriVest conference.
She holds a BA and BBA in Spanish and business administration from the University of Colorado.

Keith Loo, has over 7 years of experience in marketing, business development, fundraising and entrepreneurship.
Prior to joining Trendlines, Keith was a business development manager with 8F Asset Management. 8F, Keith was the business development manager of Rainbow Aquarium, Singapore’s second largest ornamental fish farm. Keith is also a co-founder of Socialize Holdings, a business development agency that empowers start-ups.

Benzi brings vast management experience and a successful track record in leading medical device ventures. He has over 10 years’ experience in the field spanning investments, R&D, business development, preclinical and clinical development, strategic planning, and execution. Prior to joining Trendlines, Benzi worked for Mor Research Applications, the Technology Transfer Office of Clalit Health Services, the largest HMO in Israel. There is served as director of business development for the Rabin Medical Center Innovation Lab. He is an avid beekeeper and enologist.

Avshalom Shenhav has over 20 years of experience in the medical device field.
Prior to joining Trendines, Avshalom was part of the Physics Group at Biosense Webster (a J&J company), in the MRI Division of Elscint (purchased by GE), in KLA (semiconductor industry), and as part of a number of start-ups. He has served as an algorithm developer, physiological model researcher, magnetic field analyzer, and system integrator.
At Trendines Labs, Avshalom is responsible for the concept development, clinical needs studies, and developing detailed algorithms and software.
Avshalom holds a PhD in biomedical engineering and a BSc in electronics engineering, both from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology.

Lionel Lim has more than 10 years of experience in project management, strategic marketing, and R&D in the health care sector.
Prior to joining Trendlines Medical Singapore, Lionel was a senior consultant with The Economist Intelligence Unit Healthcare, where he leads projects on growth advisory and commercial due diligence for merger & acquisition for fortune top 500 healthcare companies. He also worked with government agencies in Singapore to validate proof of concept and proof of value for medical devices.
Prior to The Economist, Lionel was a senior research associate at DX Assay, a start-up company which was supported by Economic Development Board Singapore (EDB) and Qiagen with the objective to develop the growth of personalized medicine.
He was also involved as a research associate with the Cancer Science Institute at National University of Singapore and Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology.
Lionel received a BSc biotechnology (Hons) from the University of Queensland, Australia.

Eunice Chew has more than five years of experience working with medical technology start-ups and health care institutions.
Prior to joining Trendlines Medical Singapore, Eunice was a senior manager at Enterprise Singapore, an economic agency of the Singapore government, where she was instrumental in developing initiatives for the biomedical and health care sectors.
She also account-managed a portfolio of more than 40 medical technology start-ups and small and medium enterprises (SMEs), supporting these companies in their commercialization, partnerships, financing, and market access efforts.
Eunice holds an MSc in IP management and a BSc (Hons) in economics from the National University of Singapore.

As the Director of Trendlines China Office, Eddy introduces Chinese investors and industrial partners to The Trendlines Group, its portfolio companies, and Trendlines Labs; conducts and promotes Trendlines events held in China and in Israel; develops and maintains relationships with key contacts from the private and public sectors in China.
Prior to stating his work in Trendlines, Eddy served as Director of the International Department of HTIBI, which is an international incubator managed by Beijing Science and Technology Commission. He was Sales Manager of the Corporate Clients Division at Air China Northern Distribution and Manager of the Personal Financial Consultant Department of AXA Insurance China and an Experiment Technician of Wild Animal Pathology Institution at the University of Saskatchewan (Canada).
Eddy holds a BSc (honors) in environment studies and GIS (Geography Information System) from the University of Saskatchewan (Canada).

Irit Shemesh-Catz brings more than 25 years of experience in mission-critical operations and business-related management in the high-tech industry.
Prior to joining Trendlines, Irit served as the marketing contracts and engagements manager in the Homeland Security Division of Rafael, Israel’s Advanced Defense Systems, where she was responsible for negotiating terms of engagement for worldwide contracts, including with Rafael’s main subcontractors. Prior to that, she was contract and purchasing manager, handling purchasing contracts and engagements for Rafael’s critical suppliers.
Previously, Irit served as VP business development at Nemic-Lambda Israel, where she was responsible for setting the Company’s strategy in the local market and leading business growth activities, including assessing the feasibility and the potential of new businesses and ventures. Irit also served as VP marketing and sales, leading all marketing and sales activities in Israel.
Irit holds a B.Sc. in industrial engineering and management from the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology and a degree in practical engineering (electronics).

Shira Zimmerman has over 15 years of experience in communications, content management, and marketing.
At Trendlines, Shira is responsible for investor communications and organizing investor-related events, and supports marketing communications efforts for the Group and its portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Trendlines, Shira was the Content Manager at a high-tech company. She also wrote and edited pedagogical materials for a number of EFL publishers.
She holds an MA in human resource management from the University of Derby and a BA in English from the University of Witwatersrand.
