In United States alone, there are 33 million musculoskeletal injuries suffered by individual every year and about half of these injuries of involve the tendons, ligaments and joint capsular. One of the more common procedures involving tendon or ligament is the Rotator cuff repair, with an estimated 300,000 procedures performed in the USA annually (Idata research). The failure rates for rotator cuff repairs can be very high, and re-tears in repairs are not uncommon. In general, 40% of repairs fail within 12 months. ( Carr, A. J., Cooper, C. D., Campbell, M.
